Kentucky Repossession Recording: Financing statements are filed with the
County Clerk where debtor resides or in Kentucky county where the vehicle
is registered. Uniform Commercial Code adopted July, 1960.
Kentucky Repossession Recovery: Peaceful repossession permitted.
Kentucky Repossession Redemption: Allowed any time prior to disposition of
the collateral by the lien holder or repossessor.
Kentucky Repossession Deficiency: Permitted after repo sale and if
contract so provides. Kentucky has an extremely comprehensive Commercial
Code which warrants careful examination in dealing with all Kentucky
Repossession matters here.
